Blue Mist Shrub (Caryopteris) – Flowers for bees

Recently we have moved to a different house.  In the front yard of this house is a Blue Mist shrub.  I have enjoyed watching the bees come everyday to forage from the small blue flowers.  This shrub is a good bee plant for your yard.  The Blue Mist is drought tolerant, likes full sun to part shade and not overly rich soil.  The plant height is 1 to 3 feet and grows in clumps and blooms from mid to late summer. One of the advantage besides attracting bees and butterflies is that deer do not enjoy munching on it.  The Blue Mist is recommended for hardiness zones between 5 and 9.Bees love the Blue Mist
